was recently introduced into Diwali festivities. Let us debunk it.
Bursting firecrackers has always been an integral and central part
of Diwali for ages but the very core of this entire myth is the
presumption that gunpowder was invented in China in the 9th
century and brought to India by Muslim rulers.
